If you're anything like me, at times it can become a bit overwhelming the amount of music you have in your iTunes or hearing the same songs on the radio again and again. I know that the Top 40 is filled with dance driven pop songs right now, but I really do miss the days when big bands like Snow Patrol, U2 and Coldplay dominated the charts. Just like everything in life, they'll come full circle.
Though Aaron + Andrew are not a multi-piece anthem band, they've got what it takes to compete with the best of them. Combining the musical landscapes of Coldplay, Dashboard Confessional, The Fray and the emotional passion of Secondhand Serenade, this Connecticut based duo is bound to get some radio play, with their latest single Rescue Me. According to their website, A+A's music has been featured most recently on the networks CBS, MTV and Oxygen. They've even shared the stage with Pete Yorn, Nine Days & The Low Anthem.
The first single from their third studio album entitled To Be Brave (which drops on iTunes and Amazon on 10/19/10) has been on constant repeat for me. It's one of those soft rock anthems that you just wanna blast while driving down the freeway with your windows down. Don't just hear the music, listen. And if you're at the office, you might wanna throw your headphones on...cause you're gonna wanna blast this one!
