Oh How We Love the Dutch

I am obsessing over this track by Afrojack featuring newish singer Eva Simons from the Netherlands.  At first listen, I honestly thought it was a more mature Katy Perry singing along to a Kaskade beat.  Though this isn't a single from the upcoming Rockstar debut by Eva, it's a dang good dance song.  I personally love the extended vocal remix the best (listen below).

Besides Eva's climb to fame with this hot dance track, she's also got a single out called Silly Boy.  When it first hit the internet, it was rumored the song was either Lady Gaga or even Rihanna.  The big haired Eva was flattered rather than offended to receive these comparisons and has embraced her online community with a lot of love.  Silly Boy has had more than 10 million listens online!  Though these days, it would seem no one can get away with getting a little comparison to Lady Gaga (Bionic anyone?), I wouldn't put Eva in the same category.  I'd actually say she was a combination of Ciara's voice, La Roux's flare and Rihanna's attitude.  And her fans are eager to hear more.

Surprisingly, Silly Boy did not chart in the UK (nor has seen a US release-- typical!) and her second single has yet to be announced.  Her debut album Rockstar is expected to be released before the end of this year.
