William Fitzsimmons is the most.

Let me just start out by saying John Mayer is the worst. I think it goes without saying that this is a well known fact. Yeah his music is cute, and he dates celebrities. But you can't hide his self-satisfied smug garbage behind a box with strings tied to it (A.K.A. a guitar).

Anyway, when I play William Fitzsimmons I do not think of John Mayer. Others have tried to compare the two, but halfway before these people finish that sentence, I either throw them off a roof, or hang up the phone. It's just not an accurate comparison.  It's like comparing apples and oranges, or grapples to grapes, or coffee to energy drinks, or energy drinks to sleeping. I'm just never going to agree with you. Especially hyped up on all this sugar.

This article is getting a little too crass and slap-stick for how serious and beautiful Senor Fitzsimmons' music is. My current iTunes play count is nearing 300 for So This is Goodbye (Pink Ganter Remix). It's just so soothing. Generally speaking he is acoustic/folk type of music, but sometimes there are subtle electronic notes to his songs (such as one below).

Oh by the way, he was born to two blind parents, so they kept all sorts of instruments in the house, which is why he is as talented and interesting as he is, and also why I would want to meet him. FYI.

William, if you are reading this, just know that you are the most. And also come to New York.
Here is my favorite, which is more electronic than his usual songs.

Here is something more typical of him. Just beautiful.

Oh Billy, come to New York so I can see you.

Watch: Katelyn Clampett "Dynamite Grenade"

Besides being a talented artist, doesn't she strike you as someone you'd have a blast with?

Robyn + Max Martin Collaboration on "Body Talk"

Get ready America!  November 22nd Robyn will be releasing the third & final installment of Body Talk.  Body Talk (technically Part 3) will be a compilation of Body Talk Pt.1 & Pt.2, along with five new songs.  The new tracks will be Time Machine (produced by Max Martin and their first collaboration since 1997 Show Me Love), Call Your Girlfriend, Get Myself Together, In My Eyes and the hot single Indestructible.  We cannot wait for this album to drop!  In the meantime, take a trip down memory lane with Robyn's 2008 version of Show Me Love.

Video Premiere: Afrojack ft. Eva Simons "Take Over Control"

Eva Simons is looking stunning in her video premiere of Afrojack's Take Over Control.  The single will be released November 24th!

Download: Soft Pipes "Golden Grace"

I came across Golden Grace yesterday (the single premiered on Monday) and cannot stop listening to it.  Immediately, you'll be drawn in by the deep bass beat that Soft Pipes (aka Anthony Polcino) starts out with and sent into a trippy world of ethereal relaxation.  Then his soothing voice comes in and bam, you're hooked.  This is the type of song that's perfect for skinny dipping in a lake or perhaps even making love... but I wouldn't recommend doing it in a lake (not saying that I know from my own experience).  Either way, this song will have you kickin' back and wishing it was Friday.

Watch: Grace Jones - "Corporate Cannibal"

Lady Gaga should probably sleep with one eye open because some day, the original queen of outlandish behavior will awaken from her dragon-nap and swallow Gaga whole for encroaching on her turf. Watch the most recent of Grace Jones' videos:

Grace Jones is probably up there with the Stalin and Shannen Doherty on the list of people-who-react-poorly-to-provocation so, Gaga beware.

Review: Kings of Leon - Come Around Sundown

The Followill boys, Caleb, Jared, Nathan and Matthew (consisting of three brothers and a cousin) have released their newest album, Come Around Sundown. This marks the fifth studio album released by the Kings of Leon and aims to take their music in a bit of a different direction from their previous album. If you don't already know (and how could you not?) Kings of Leon has risen to great fame in the United States with their previous release Only by the Night (2008), more specifically with the song Use Somebody, which was pretty much inescapable in 2009....but of course, us Americans never gave them the widespread recognition they deserved up until now.
