Introducing: The Rescues

I've been listening to these guys for a while now, and by a while I mean 4ish months. And by that I mean Since mid-July. The Rescues have somewhat of a timeless sound that I can't even begin to describe.

In my time I've been listening to them, I've been trying to come up with a way to best describe them. But I've never been good at describing anything. Like that time I was wearing socks then went halfway up my thigh (now, haha), and thought they were stockings at first, but I convinced myself otherwise, because of how comfortable they were so I could keep wearing them. The point is that they have a unique sound.

There are so many things that I love about them and I wish I could make an impossibly long list for you to ignore, but instead I'll just point out the highlights. There are four members in the band (in the picture above from left to right: Adrianne Gonzalez, Rob Giles, Kyler England, and Gabriel Mann) who all sing and all play instruments. This is one of my favorite elements of these guys, they have 4 different vocal talents harmonizing in almost every song. It's a soundgasm if I've ever heard one. Another part of The Rescues that earns major thumbs up is that the lyrics are absolutely epic. "The sky fell down a star shattered highway, I heard the wind inside me crying" (lyrics from Follow Me Back Into the Sun). All of these fantastic things aside, they are GOING TO BE IN NYC IN NOVEMBER, SO GET YOUR TICKETS. The only thing that will stop me from going is my own untimely death.

The Rescues' full-length debut album Let Loose the Horse combines intelligent, emotion, and spirit into an album you'll listen to till the end of time.

Here is my favorite track Follow Me Back Into the Sun and the video for the album's title track Let Loose the Horses.
