Wonky Pop
A big congratulations to Far East Movement, The Cataracs & Dev for hitting platinum sales for their hot dance single Like a G6. Our sources tell us the song hit beyond the 1,000,000 sales mark last night and is now #1 on the Billboard charts! (You won't see the change on the Billboard.com site until next week).
Far East Movement is just what the pop world needs to compete with the likes of Black Eyed Peas. And guess what folks - their album wasn't produced by Will.i.am! The other two singles from Free Wired (which drops on Tuesday) that radio stations are pushing are rumored to be If I Was U (OMG) ft. Snoop Dogg and Rocketeer (ft. Ryan Tedder of One Republic). I personally would've liked to see Fighting For Air (ft. FrankMusik) as their next single but it would have a hard time competing with the dance tracks that have taken the Top 40 by storm.
Far East Movement has also become the first all Asian group to break into the Top 10 on the Billboards ever!
