ok ok ok .... here's the REAL video.. we think it's alright... it could have been hotter than this, consider it's about tthreesomes... can she not dance anymore?
The latest single from Weezer (we weren't all that excited about their last album). This song is just plain catchy and fun to dance around to! Of course, due to copyright restriction, once again we are limited by not being able to show you the REAL music video *you can catch it on Youtube*.
Wonky Pop has put its personal collection of 1,300+ CDs on Amazon.com More and more will be added everyday! You can purchase CD's for as little as $1 and as much as $5 (+shipping/handling). Check it out today!
The famous Lilith Fair is back... they've just announced their first round of tours but no artists/bands have been announced........... stay tuned! Oh, and get a free download of Sarah McLachlan's "Angel" on the website!
Such a great combination. Bloggers such as Perez Hilton give Scarlett Johansson flack for being a singer but we at Wonky Pop love her voice and the combination with Pete Yorn is just awesome!
The first few words, I thought Lady Gaga was doing another candelight mix of one of her songs.... but thanks to the technology of the iPhone and Midomi (similar to the Shizam app), I discovered it was actually the "evacuate the dancefloor" Cascada singing her "Draw the Line." Here's the "candlelight mix."
Team Rihanna needs to wake up... because this single, is just not great. "Russian Roulette" is Rihanna's newest single from her upcoming cd "Rated R" and we are disappointed with this production. It is lackluster, poor production and just plain BLAH. And the end of the song, is totally disturbing. No wonder why the critics are calling it "R" rated!
Some of our readers may not appreciate "Christian" music.... and maybe your mind is quite closed to it. But here at Wonky Pop, we are open to all kinds of music, all genres, all nationalities, etc. We believe in having an equal ear to all the music that is out there. And to be honest, David Crowder Band is still one of our favorite "Christian labeled" bands out there. I had the great privilege of meeting David Crowder back in 2001 after one of his concerts in Bethel, Minnesota. Not to be cruel, but David is not one of the most attractive looking fellows out there. This makes him seem a bit unapproachable-- but that is the exact opposite of his personality. He was one of the most humble and friendly individuals I have ever met. And in 2005, I had the great honor of meeting him and his band again after a concert in Danbury, CT. He is still the same guy he has ever been. God-fearing, humble and a great man of character. This song is absolutely beautiful and I love his voice, 100%. Thank you David for sticking to what you believe in, even if it's not what everyone agrees to.
With their sophomore album (released only overseas yet again), here's a new taste of their greatness... "Wordshaker" is one of their latest singles and here's a live bonus version that's on the new album.
WonkyPop apologizes for its lack of postings the past few days.... we've been hung up with the flu! Thankfully, not swine! This track off of Mika's latest album, "The Boy Who Knew Too Much" is incredibly healing. The first time we heard this track, our ears perked up and stopped doing everything.... we knew one of our favorite artists was a part of this amazing song.... and here she is, Imogen Heap, joining forces with Mika on this single "By The Time." He better release this as a single. We KNOW it will do well!! Enjoy!
Natalie Imbruglia, the famous "Torn" girl is back with a new single AND a new album! I can totally hear this song at the dance clubs, with the queers going crazy........... thoughts?
Backstreet Boys SEVENTH studio album since their creation in 1993 was released today..... and we almost hate to say this, but the new single is not bad. It's typical, old school boy band poppy shit but it's catchy..... what do you think? Should they give it up already? They're down to four members!
Forget New Jersey! I am talking about the movie sillies. 2004, Zach Braff and Natalie Portman showed the world a crazy sort of love, along with an amazing soundtrack. Here's one of my favorite tracks by The Shins, "New Slang."
Though it is FLASHBACK FRIDAY'S, we cannot wait til next week to share this with you! ALREADY #1 in Denmark, the Danish band that inspired the formation of WonkyPop is back with their newest single, "The Spell." HOT! We cannot wait for their new album to drop! It's 80s disco with a new age flare- LOVE IT! JUST PLAIN FUN!
A good friend of mine told me that Alicia Keys latest single "Doesn't Mean Anything" dropped over the airwaves last week. Alicia holds a big spot in WonkyPop's heart and this song is just BEAUTIFUL! She has warmed us up to Whitney Houston's latest album because of her songwriting on "Million Dollar Bill." What a beautiful song!
