Listen: Rihanna "Who's That Chick" - remastered!

Rihanna's previously leaked David Guetta produced track Who's That Chick has been remastered for the final cut of the deluxe version of Loud.  We personally like this version a lot better!  The song is also planned to be David Guetta's first single from his upcoming album.  Can't wait for this album to drop.  Take a listen below.

EXCLUSIVE! Enrique Iglesias "Tonight" preview (Dirty)

You heard it here first!  Listen to this exclusive hot new dance track snippet from Enrique Iglesias!  It's called Tonight and it's bound to get you into a dance mood for Halloween weekend!  Sidenote: dirty track -- see lyrics below:

I know you want me
I made it obvious that I want you too
So put it on me
Let's remove the space between me and you
Now rock your body
Damn I like the way that you move
So give it to me
'Cause I already know what you wanna do

Here's the situation
Been to every nation
Nobody's ever made me feel the way that you do

You know my motivation
Give in my reputation
Please excuse I don't mean to be rude

But tonight I'm fucking you
Oh you know
That tonight I'm fucking you
Oh you know
That tonight I'm fucking you

Download: Monster Tonight (Mashup)

How can we not celebrate the Halloween weekend without a mashup?  Being that it is also our traditional Flashback Friday, we've found you the perfect mashup to start off the Halloween celebrations.  A DJ all the way from Barcelona who calls himself Mr. K! has taken Ken Laszlo's 80's smash hit Tonight and mated it with Lady Gaga's Monster.

Watch: Nicole Scherzinger - Poison (Official Music Video)

Lead Ex-Pussycat Doll, Nicole Scherzinger, just released the official music video for her latest single Poison. The song is a dark, rock-infused dance pop number produced by RedOne with Nicole's signature vocal prowess. The video attempts to capture Nicole's strength and authority by utilizing superhero personas as she transforms from black to white and vice versa. When dressed in a sexy skin-tight black get up, it's reminiscent of Catwoman as she fights corrupt police officers. As a stunning white heroine, she deals a fist of fury to jail inmates. It's obvious this was filmed on a budget but it's quite entertaining nonetheless. She looks gorgeous as usual and the song is a hit in the making so it's easy to overlook the lower than expected quality of the video.

Preview: Pink (3 new songs!) Greatest Hits...So Far!

Pink is going to be gifting the world with not just one new song on her Greatest Hits...So Far album.  She's giving us four!  Snippets of the new songs have been posted on various sites & people are going ba-nanas over the new tracks.  Besides the already radio smash hit Raise Your Glass, other tracks will include Heartbreak Down (UK & International releases only), Fuckin' Perfect (my favorite & in typical Pink style for a love song) and Whataya Want From Me (UK & International releases only).  Whataya Want From Me was originally intended for Pink's Funhouse album but was cut -- some of you may realize Adam Lambert recorded the song for his own album.  Some critics & fans on the net are saying Pink has gone too pop and off the mainstream edge but I strongly disagree.  Pink is still in her realm of great songs, showcasing her incredible spirit, talent and amazing voice.  Her video for Raise Your Glass (inspired by the underdogs of our world) will be released on November 1st!  For now, enjoy these three 30 second clips of her new songs.

Flashback Friday: Xscape

In honor of the only Housewife who's music doesn't want to make us do this, we've dedicated today's Flashback Friday to Kandi Burruss, our favorite member of the 90's girl R&B group Xscape.  She just debuted her new video for Leave U, a vulnerable ballad that takes on the old school style of R&B with a fresh twist.  See both videos below.

Introducing: I Blame Coco

One of the best things about having outgrown my 500GB external hard drive is that everyday, it's like discovering new music for the first time.  I constantly come across music I forgot I had and sadly, ones that I really should be listening to - again and again!  I Blame Coco was one of those recent finds.  Though I've had her debut album Constant for a month now (the album drops November 8th), I didn't really start listening to it until this past week - and I honestly can't get enough.  It's the perfect blend of alternative rock with an electro vibe, with slight hints of reggae on just about every track.  She may be the daughter of Sting, but Coco births her own sound - so don't go making those judgements about her daddy's well known.  Her vocal range seems to be on the lower spectrum (I actually thought it was a guy singing upon first listen), reminding me of the sexiness of such greats like Cat Power and The Runaways.

Her first single released in February was Caesar featuring our favorite, Robyn (see below), which unfortunately failed to chart in the UK.  Following that, the beautiful electronic ballad Self Machine in July, charting at 64 in the UK.  Her third single Spirit Golden will be released on November 1st - and I think this one will definitely chart higher.  Other highlights from the album include her cover of Neil Young's Only Love Can Break Your Heart (definitely some Sting influence here), the vulnerable It's About To Get Worse, the reggae rock mashup No Smile and the rhythmic Party Bag.

Sidenote: US release date is unknown unfortunately.  For now, you'll have to pick up the album on Amazon.com or Legalsounds.com

Listen: Kesha "Sleazy"

I love Ke$ha more and more.  The beat on this song is not like the rest of her top hits - it's a bit more reminiscent of M.I.A.  But it's still a hot track nonetheless- and you just gotta listen to the lyrics.  Sleazy will be on her upcoming release of Cannibal (November 22), the continuation of her first album Animal.   The subtle sounds of the bells in the background make me wonder, is this her contribution to Christmas music?  Kesha is who she is.  Lyric highlights are:

I don't need you
Or your brand new Benz
Or your boughie friends
I don't need love looking like diamonds
Looking like diamonds

Me and all my friends we don't buy bottles we bring 'em
We take the drinks from the table when you get up and leave 'em

Newsflash: Britney Spears new single expected in December!

You heard it here first!  The Britney Spears alleged leaked single Pleasure You was simply a rumor and not true.  This has been made clear by her Jive representatives themselves.  But that's not the big news we wanna share with you... The even bigger news is, Britney is expected to drop a hot new single sometime during the second week of December!  And her album is expected to drop sometime in early 2011!  Get ready fans, it's Britney bitch!  Brit has always played it smart in music - release a multi-platinum selling album one year, take the next year off.  2011 is the year for Britney!  Follow us on Facebook or Twitter for further updates on the new Britney!

Listen & Watch: Matisse "Better Than Her"

Matisse comes from the defunct pop group Brit & Alex who's one claim to fame was Let It Go, their contribution to the Step Up 2 Soundtrack.  Of the sister duo, after Alex left to purse school, Brit moved on under the moniker Matisse, debuting this year with the single Better Than Her. Matisse is definitely worth checking out, as is Better Than Her which was produced by Kevin Rudolf and features Akon (though originally recorded as a solo single).  She was most recently signed to Jive records - that calls for a celebration!

Cover: Honeyhoney does Smashing Pumpkins

Pretty much anyone that covers a song from the garage bands of the 90's is amazing (in my book anyway).  Though I am a child of the 80's, I really came into my own during the 90's (you know, puberty, the ugly phase, sexuality).  Though I'm a lover of all music, I still tend to gravitate back to the rock bands of that era, ones that would make you shake your head until you puked, or cried until, well, you puked.  Needless to say, Smashing Pumpkins freaking rocked it.

Now as for HoneyHoney (Suzanne Santo & Ben Jaffe), they just gained themselves a few more plays in my iTunes.  I've always been a fan since I saw them open for Augustana a few years back in NYC.  It was something about their rhythmic Little Toy Gun and Give Yourself To Me songs that really won me over.  I eagerly awaited in anticipation after that show for them to release their full length album... meanwhile, enjoying their Little Boots EP.  This past March they finally released a full length album entitled First Rodeo.  Sadly, they did not include this incredible cover of 1979 on it!  I can even imagine Billy Corgan joining on the verses.  I'm assuming he's the reason this song is not available for purchase anywhere (though, if you do google it, you may just find a copy).

Quench your Thirsty Thursday cotton mouth - listen below!  The weekend is nearly here!

Video Premiere: Katy Perry "Firework"

Though not officially released, Katy Perry's Firework video has leaked across the net.  I think it's one of her best yet.  Absolutely beautiful!!  Katy has recently dedicated the video to the It Gets Better Project - sending a positive message across the youth of America and across the world.  Take a look below!

Watch: Robyn "Indestructible" premiere video!

Robyn = Indestructible!  Wasn't expecting such a sexual video - wow.  I'd say this video borders on the NSFW style.  You might want to watch this at home.  It's a pretty intense video, especially with Robyn's lyrics I'm gonna love you like I've never been hurt before I'm gonna love you like I'm indestructible.  Not sure I really get why Robyn is covered in plastic tubing that I once sold at Ace Hardware by the foot, but I'm sure there's a reason.  Budget cuts perhaps?  I miss these days!

PSA: It Gets Better - Todrick Hall

You should already be aware of the amazing It Gets Better campaign.  So many celebrities, musicians, and everyday people have come together to let the youth today know that it will get better - the bullying, of any type, will stop and you will leave all of that behind you.  You will become a better person - a bigger person.  We here at Wonky Pop want the youth of the world to know - gay, straight, bisexual, black, white, Christian, muslim, whatever walk of life you come from - that it will get better.  Shake off the words that hit you hard and knock you down.  Dust yourself off and continue to move forward.  Life will get better.  Thank you Todrick Hall for this incredible message via song.

Thanks Rocky.

Listen: Natalia Kills "Free"

If you're anything like me, you'll be doing this when Natalia Kills finally releases her album The Perfectionist.  Zombie, Mirrors and Activate My Heart are all currently on iTunes while the world awaits in anticipation for the rest of her tracks to drop (allegedly sometime in the new year).  Free is an infectious, lyrical driven song, sure to gain anyone's attention and finally put the comparison to rest that Natalia is like Lady Gaga.  There are other artists in this world people!  To me, the 4 minutes and 13 seconds is not long enough for this song - I've played it more than 100 times this past week (obsess much?) and am not tired of it!  Maybe she's speaking to my anorexic wallet.  Take a listen below of Free and hear for yourself that Natalia Kills is creating her own sound and style.  Get your five$, get your ten$, get your twentie$ out!

Natalia Kills - Free

Sidenote: According to Wikipedia, Love is a Suicide is expected to be her next single.

Listen: Alesha Dixon "Radio"

Another new one from Alesha Dixon. Drummer Boy fared decently on the UK charts and Alesha is following up with Radio, a throbby electro R&B breakup song. The bass synth sounds A LOT like Robyn's Dancing on My Own, and I think that probably will polarize listeners. Personally, I think the whole thing suits Alesha's voice really well and the chorus diverges from the Robyn formula enough that the bass starts to sound more like a sample than a style rip. Radio drops on November 28th, with her new album The Entertainer following the next day.

Listen: Duffy "Endlessly"

Following the enormously successful debut album Rockferry, the world eagerly awaits for Duffy's sophomore release, Endlessly.  Dropping everywhere on November 29th, the already infectious single Well Well Well has gained much buzz on the internet and radio stations.  Duffy spent an entire year recording this highly anticipated album, in both London and New York, and worked closely with the legendary Albert Hammond (Whitney Houston, Elton John, Diane Warren).  With Rockferry being one of the biggest selling albums of 2008 (more than 6.5 million worldwide), Endlessly is bound to fill that void in our collection that's been missing for the previous two years.  Preview Well Well Well and Endlessly below.

New Music Tuesday 10/26/10

I'm really biting my lip on that girls release today.  I am choosing not to Speak about it.  I'd suggest spending your hard earned cash on these incredible singles, by artists with real talent & skill-- you know, ones that can sing live.  This Tuesday is all about the guys - and though we love to get our dance on, slowing it down this Tuesday is perfect for a crisp fall day.  For the price of a cup of java, these could be yours!  Listen to our NMT, the singles, below.  (Links to purchase are embedded in the song titles.)

Ólafur Arnalds is the most.

In a world where gibberish is an acceptable form of lyrics, it's satisfying to know that there are some musicians out there that have given up complete hope for them and left it as an instrumental. Maybe that isn't the plan behind Ólafur Arnalds' brilliant compositions, but hey, who knows? Am I right? I'm right.

Anywho, Ólafur Arnalds has really got something going on here. He's from Iceland, so you know he's crazy in a good way. He has a chamber orchestra feel with hints of electronica and some pop-driven elements. It's really like nothing else I've ever heard before, I'm sure you'll feel the same. He gained a larger following when he opened up for Sigur Rós, so hopefully his eery/beautiful music will fill up more ears. He also did a cover of a Death Cab for Cutie song which is unbelievable.

I love his website, because it's so engaging (check out the Myspace too). He has a video log and interactive tour dates (where you can leave your comments and pictures, you know, cool stuff). There are a few music videos up there too, but I only wanted to post one, so I chose one of my favorite song's video "3055". Also below is my MOST favorite song 0040.

So if you are listening Ólafur, just know that you are the most. And please come to NYC.

Ólafur Arnalds - 0040 by Seantc120

P.S. - He released his newest album "...And They Have Escaped the Weight of Darkness" and it's really a testament to his talent.

Listen: Cee-Lo Green "Bright Lights Bigger City"

As I've said before, November is going to be a great month for all of us.  Besides the big stuff-your-fat-face-feast I'm looking forward to on November 25th, there are a lot of great albums dropping throughout the month.  And Cee-lo Green's Lady Killer may be all we need to keep us warm during the first month of winter.  Dropping on November 9th, this album is bound to be epic (yeah, I just said that).  Just recently released, Bright Lights Bigger City starts off with some heavy synths and then comes a familiar bass groove, similiar to that of Michael Jackson's Thriller.  Groove, soul and dance.  Hot!

Cee-Lo Green - Bright Lights Bigger City

Reliving a moment

The music industry suffered a tragic loss when news broke out on Christmas morning that The Godfather of Soul, James Brown, died of complications of pneumonia. The industry knew they had to pay tribute to him in a very big way but who they would ask to pay tribute to the legend himself was on everyone's mind. Well, none other than Christina Aguilera was asked to step up to the plate and I must say, she hit a grand slam with her performance.

In a music world that feels it's been dominated by auto-tune lately, it's hard for some people to really recognize soul anymore. But nonetheless, her performance received great recognition and was voted in the Grammy books as the 3rd best performance of all time. ALL TIME! To sum up her performance I'll quote an ad that I saw for the Grammy's the following year: Thank you, Christina, for reintroducing our jaws to the floor.

Download & Introducing: Gabrielle Baty "Why's It So Hard"

Gabrielle Baty may not yet be a household name but she could very well get there. With over a million views on her YouTube channel (collectively), this 20 year old from Michigan has a voice that will have you asking "when the hell is her album coming out?"  Just listen to some of her unedited cover songs, such as Maxwell's This Woman's Work.  She's got a big vocal range and the charisma of a familiar friend.  Currently, she's hard at work in the studio putting the final touches on her debut album.  Her songs Why's It So Hard (listen below) and Crush have gained much buzz on both MySpace as well as other music blogs.  We've gotten our hands on a new song and we're dying to share it with you!  Unfortunately, you'll just have to wait just a little longer.  But if you're a Kelly Rowland, Shontelle or even a Miley Cyrus (listen to her EPK to see why I made this remark) fan, you'll love the new track dropping in a month or two.  In the meantime, take a listen & download her honest ballad Why's It So Hard below.  More to come from Gaby!

Diva Dish: Eva Simons

There are those artists who cannot stand it when someone leaks their song onto the internet... and then there are those who embrace it.  Silly Boy was leaked onto YouTube by an unknown source and was initially labeled as a Lady Gaga demo.  More than 11 million hits later, Eva Simons is amazed & thanksful for the song's attention.  And her latest collaboration with fellow Netherlands native DJ Afrojack Take Over Control has become the fastest viewed video on YouTube to date!  With comparisons to Ms. Gaga, Rihanna and even Keri Hilson, you'd think Eva would find this to be insulting but instead, she embraces it and takes it as a huge compliment.  The honest truth is, people will make comparisons to other pop artists out there when a new one comes along, but its time to stop comparing.  Eva is one of her own, unique in style and in music - she combines rock with dance and techno, and she is one incredibly strong willed woman.  And when you speak to her or even see her live, you'll see just how humble and passionate she is about her music.  We're anticipating a smash hit when her album finally drops.  Watch our Diva Dish from this weekend with Eva below!

In case you haven't already heard... new from Pet Shop Boys

The Pet Shop Boys have done it again and put out another great single.  Together will be on their Ultimate album (aka Greatest Hits) dropping November 1st in the UK and November 29th for the US (we're always the last to get this greatness).  The greatest hits collection double disc collection is a celebration of Pet Shop Boys 25 years together!  Here's to another 25 more!

Download: Spark "Revolving" (Warrior One Remix)

If Adele were to join The Gossip and drank a few liters of Kate Bush's artistic flare, I imagine the sound they'd create would sound a lot like this girl from the UK.  Spark may only be 18 years old, but she's already leaps ahead of a lot of musicians her senior.  She's toured with Marina and the Diamonds, who apparently heard a few of her demos and fell in love with Spark's music.  Keep your ears open -- we expect more great things from Spark!

Download Spark Revolving (Warrior One remix) here.  The original will be released November 15th!

TGIF... sing it up with Mishka, the singing Husky!

Download: Mashmaticians "The Masochist" entire album!

You can't start the weekend without a good mashup.  Here to help you out are one of our favorite mashup'ers, DJ Zesty & Rubex of the MashMaticians of Princeton, NJ.  We've featured their killer mashup of Far East Movement's Like a G6 & Yeah Yeah Yeah's Heads Will Roll.  Now they're given you 10 hot tracks to add to your collection.  Download The Masochist here.

The Mashmaticians - QuickSwag (Quicksand - LaRoux // Pretty Boy Swag - Souljaboy)

Cover: Lilly Wood & the Prick do Santigold

Pop, folk, electronica and French?  Say what??  Sounds a bit odd but it's such a great blend.  Lilly Wood & the Prick had a chance meeting (introduced by mutual friends) and a day later, composed three songs together.  Since then, they have released the EP Lilly Wood & the What? and the brilliant Invincible Friends.  Appropriately named because these two are already making a mark in the music biz.  Their cover of Santigold's L.E.S. Artistes is unique and of their own style.  It's a blend of a stripped down White Stripes and Cat Power, with the cuteness (at times) of She & Him.  These two are quickly becoming a favorite of Wonky Pop.  Listen to the acoustic and album version below.

Chunk's Truffle Shuffle: Sugarland

It's been awhile since Chunk has spun the wheel that is my iTunes shuffle button and picked a daily song. There's been so much good music this fall that it's hard to get some of that older stuff we love so much out here for you all to hear.  Driving into work this morning, in the rain, I heard Every Girl Like Me, from the incredible country duo Sugarland.  The first 10 seconds or so, I immediately thought "Oh yesss!  Matt Nathanson's "Come On Get Higher!"  Boy was I wrong.  This song is perfect for a rainy (or even sunny) Friday morning.  Their latest album, The Incredible Machine, was released this past Tuesday and has even more pop-rock appeal than ever before.  Anyone who claims they're not a country fan will be upon first listen of this album.  I for one can say that I'm proud to be (and always have been) a Sugarland fan.  Happy Friday!

Just in!!! new from Black Eyed Peas "The Time"

THIS TRACK IS HOT!  Dirty Dancing's Frank Previte's (I've Had) The Time of My Life with a Benny Bennasi flare?  I die!  The Black Eyed Peas definitely have a #1 hit on their hands here!

Black Eyed Peas - The Time

Remix: Taio Cruz ft. Kylie Minogue "Higher"

Two of our favorite worlds have just collided: Taio Cruz has remixed his latest single by bringing in the amazingly talented Kylie Minogue!  Can you say hot dance song (and smart move on Taio's part)?  Higher is sure to get your feet stomping and ready for the weekend.  Their voices mix well together and this is sure to be a hit!  Being that Taio has already had much success in the US market, hopefully this collaboration will help Americans finally realize that Kylie is incredible.  If you haven't picked up her Aphrodite album yet, get it - definitely one of the best of 2010.

Taio Cruz ft. Kylie Minogue - Higher

New from Dev - "Bass Down Low"

Originally, Bass Down Low was The Cataracs' song (google it and you'll find postings on it dating all the way back to February of this year).  Well, The Cataracs have reworked it and are now releasing it as a Dev (Like a G6) song featuring, well, themselves.  The Cataracs produced Dev's fashion forward single Booty Bounce (sampled in Like a G6 too) and were also featured on Far East Movement's #1 Like a G6.  Dev's got a unique voice & sound and is not your average hip hop'per, nor your average bitch.  Expect to hear more from this native Californian with a serious drive for storming the charts.
