This beautiful Cali girl is a natural born artist. Writing and co-writing everything she does. An organic lyricist with a pop-rock vibe and an incredible voice. Her authentic rasp/rock sound makes her a distinguishable artist unlike anyone on the scene. She is now gigging with her new band and it is a show you are going to want to see! Visit her website to hear other songs that are expected to be smash hits at www.bcjean.net
This is a great studio live performance of "If I Were A Boy"
Da this is making me blue, so thank you!
Now, don't get me wrong... I love Natalie Merchant.... but this song used to irritate the shit out of me. "Kind and Generous"
And who could ever forget Eifle 65? Sadly, I own both albums! There are some good dance beats on the albums.... but man, the lead singer's voice is so effing annoying! One of my friends in college once mentioned to me, "Doesn't the chorus sound like 'I'm blue & I will beat off a guy?'" Ugh- thanks for ruining this amazing song for me Ryan!
Phil Collins Got SOUL
I just discovered this band in 2009 but they have albums & a history dating back to 1999. The origins of the group date back to New York City in 1999 when Roger Thomas started the group with his brother, Warren, and five other talented singers they had come to know over the years from singing around the city. Having been in and out of several traditional male groups over the years, Roger developed an affinity for a cappella sounds and a unique ability to create distinct harmony arrangements. When invited to sing at a major a cappella competition in New York, they won the competition, moved onto the nationals and took away two more wins.
Riding the wave of this newfound success and still unable to decide if Naturally 7 were ging to be an a cappella group or a traditional band, Roger had a novel idea: they could be both.
I don't think these guys have yet reached the masses, but being an a Capella group, that could be a challenge. Though, Boyz II Men did it!
I've also included Extreme's hit song "More Than Words," done in a Capella by N7. Amazing!

On a side note, her song "Sober" from her last album should have most definitely been a single. Sad to see Clive Davis drop the ball on that one!
Alphabeat "What Is Happening" - soon to tour with Katy Perry
A little about Alphabeat, from Wikipedia:
Alphabeat is a Danish pop band from Silkeborg signed to Copenhagen Records in Denmark. Their debut single "Fascination" was a major hit in Denmark during the summer of 2007 and a significant hit in the UK in 2008. A second single, "10.000 Nights of Thunder" (or just "10,000 Nights" in the UK) saw equal success, and their eponymous debut album went platinum in Denmark, and their subsequent single "Boyfriend" was released to great acclaim in the UK.
Their sound is mainly retro 80s melodic pop, taking inspiration, amongst others, from Deacon Blue and Prefab Sprout, with distinctive overlay of male and female harmonies.
Their native success attracted the attention of several major labels from larger markets abroad, and Alphabeat were eventually signed to EMI's Charisma Records label in the United Kingdom. Their British debut single, "Fantastic 6", was released on 26 November 2007. Several popular British publications have praised Alphabeat including NME,The Observer Music Monthly[1], Digital Spy[2] and Popjustice.[3]
The band was offered to play as a warm-up for the Spice Girls during their reunion world tour 2007-8, but declined the offer, feeling that it would be "too weird" to suddenly play in front of a very large audience unfamiliar with the band's music.[4][5]
They will be playing select shows with American singer Katy Perry on her 2008 world tour.
Alphabeat performed at T in the Park 2008 on "Camper's Friday"[6] and were recently announced in the line-up of the 2008 Roskilde Festival.[7] They also performed at the "Summerfestival" in Klaksvik, Faroe Islands, in early August 2008[8] and also in October 2008 along with many other bands at the NEC in Birmingham for hundreds of young girlguides.[9]
R&B singer Kelly Rowland said in an interview that she would love to collaborate with the band. [10]
The band was previously named Sodastar but this was changed to avoid confusion with a German band. [11]
They have often been associated with the Wonky Pop movement - having played the Wonky Pop Tour and DJd various Wonky Pop events. They are currently penned to play the Wonky Pop Xmas party in London.
On 20th December 2008, it was announced via press release that the band had been dropped by their UK label Charisma Records, despite a Top 10 album and 3 Top 20 singles. In a statement from the band on January 19th 2009 it was confirmed that they had chosen to leave the label after being given the opportunity and were signing with a new label in the UK for the release of their as yet unrecorded second album. They also stated that they were hoping to release said record in 2009
It is believed that Alphabeat are going to provide the soundtrack to famous Danish speedway rider Peter Juul's exploits at his 2009 team, Glasgow Tigers.
